Full Description:
With the birth of two giant panda cubs on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015, the Toronto Zoo is proud to be contributing to the ongoing survival of this endangered species. The Toronto Zoo has been a leader through its unique and successful reproductive programs and these historical births are a testament to the commitment and passion of the professional staff who work tirelessly every day to ensure the ongoing survival of so many species.

Toronto Zoo staff will share their learnings with scientists around the world in the hope this will help save endangered pandas.

Currently on loan as part of a long-term conservation breeding program, Er Shun and Da Mao are at the Toronto Zoo until 2018 and will relocate to the Calgary Zoo in 2018.
